SAD tip #7 - Stick to a schedule

So, remember how I said with SAD, you will lack motivation? This is why you have to schedule your life. Sometimes, I feel like it is easier to just go through the motions and do what you have to do in a day, but nothing else. Then you feel worse about yourself because you didn't accomplish anything. This is a slippery slope, so do yourself a favor and make a schedule.

I like to have a day timer and write down my daily tasks. It gives me great joy to cross things off of a list. Some people prefer to use a computer or phone, so just find what works best for you.

Schedule everything in your day, from getting up and dressed to having your breakfast to working out. Plan your minutes with the things that you know are good for you. It will help you stay consistent and on task. Plus, when you put all of those checkmarks by your list, it feels great. Wake up - check, have coffee - check, make bed - check - the day has just begun and you are killing it!
