High performance Teen Program
Are you a teen looking to compete in the sport of Weightlifting? Do you have the grit and desire to push your body to be the best it can be? We are excited to be launching our sixth year of our competitive and intensive program for teens. This program is for those who are interested in becoming the strongest and most explosive version of themselves and compete in the sport Weightlifting at the Canadian Championships and beyond!
Highlights from our first five years!
The results of our program speak for themselves:
Year 1:
Jacob finished 28th in the world for CrossFit
Bella finished 2nd at Jr Nationals for weightlifting
Year 2:
Brynn Delainey finished 22th in the world for CrossFit
Kenzie Pavelich took a sliver at the Atlas Games and Brynn took a bronze
Bella Thompson-Hill Won Jr Nationals for weightlifting
Year 3:
Trenna Gessell finished 7th at the CF Games!
Hutton took a silver at Nationals
Brynn and Mackenzie both took bronze at the National championships for weightlifting.
Year 4:
Erica Schryer won the Canadian Junior weightlifting championships
Brynn Delainey and Erica Schryer both qualified for the Commonwealth Championships and Brynn also qualified for the Youth Pan Ams in Ecuador.
Year 5:
Brynn Delainey becomes our fourth Jr Canadian Champion in 5 years!
Liv Mortensen and Brynn Delainey are crowned Youth National Champions
Erica Schryer becomes our first athlete to win a medal in the total at the Canadian Senior Championships.
The Training schedule - New this Year
Schedule -
306 Training Grounds - Weightlifting - Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 6:00pm to 8:00PM
Commitment - The expectation is for the athletes to train 3 times a week with coach Jay and one to two additional days at their own discretion based on school and work commitments. Our goal will be to have them peak for the Canadian Junior or Senior championships depending on age and qualify for an international meet.
Yearly calendar - The program will start on Sept 8th and end at the conclusion of the Canadian Jr Championships in June. We will take 2 weeks off during Christmas from Dec 20th and return Jan 3rd, and an additional rest week during the Easter school break from April 4th-10th. We will also rest on any statutory holiday. Our season is long and these breaks are necessary for the athletes to stay healthy mentally, physically, and emotionally.
Fees and Fee schedule -
Monthly, starting in Sept and ending with the last charge in June - $394.99/month
Competition coaching -
Your fees will include having a coach at all local events defined as within SK,AB,MB and include any online competitions. As well as (pending SWA approval from year to year) will be your coach at Junior and Senior Nationals Championships for weightlifting.
What’s included?
You will be coached by a team of expert coaches and have personalized programming and scaling to ensure that you are progressing while keeping you injury free. You will train in small group and class training sessions in CrossFit, metabolic conditioning, gymnastics, powerlifting and weightlifting . You will be part of a team of like minded people who want to push and strive to be the best that they can be. Space is limited to 8 athletes in each program.
