Hugs and High Fives

What a weekend! It was such a wonderful feeling to see our CrossFit community to come together for live competition once again. It has been a minute since we were able to do that. It has been so long that I didn’t realize how much I missed it until we were back in it.

These events can’t happen without the support of many incredible people. From the sponsors, to the amazing volunteers to the athletes. I want to first of all recognize the volunteers that help make the day run smoothly. There were 25 of them that worked tirelessly all day, setting up, changing equipment, cleaning between heats, and keeping the athletes organized. We appreciate each and every one of you for helping to make this day a success. A special shout out to Chris and Tyler for logistics and announcing as well as Chef Anthony and his crew for keeping everyone well fed. THANK-YOU!

Next, we have an amazing community that stepped up to sponsor our event. Our title sponsor was Supplement World. They have been big supporters of ours over the years and we are grateful to have them. We also had WOD sponsors. People in our community that came forward to help our event come to life. A big shout out to: D’Lish, Randy Sabo of Hallmark Realty, Jesk Electric, TR Concrete, and Todd Kopp at Primerica - THANK YOU for your support!

Now for the athletes and fans - WOW! The energy that you brought to the floor was electric. The coolest thing is that CrossFit can bring together people from so many backgrounds, ages and abilities. Everyone leaves everything that they have on the floor. They show grit and determination and are nothing short of inspiring. It’s what I love about this sport, after the dust settles, you are left with hugs and high fives. No one cares who wins, they celebrate the joint effort, the fight. There isn’t anything better than that.

I can honestly say that the past 18 months have been some of the most challenging for the gym business. We cannot express how this day filled our hearts. The gym was filled with the energy that we love. There were so many familiar faces of people we have met over the years. Like I said, you gotta love something that ends with hugs and high-fives. Until next year…

With much love,

Jason & Rebecca
