All right 306, here we go CF Games Open 2014!
The CF Games Open registration opens on Jan 15th. As we do every year, 306 will register one team to which every 306 athlete will be part of. One community, one affliate, one team! The open will serve as the selection process for the team that will be representing 306 at the CF Regional Championships May 9-11 in Vancouver. Regardless if you have any intention of competing in the sport of CrossFit or not, the open is a fun 5 week challenge were you can see how you stack up against people worldwide. Take a look at the following site for more info:

Rebecca and I will be releasing the logistics of how we will run the Open at a later date, this will be based on how many of our members sign up.
As for the regional team selection, here are some improtant points: Two spots out of eight have already been allocated. Rebecca and I have selected Ty as the team captain. Ty's selection as captain comes as no surprise. Ty has been a member of our regional team for the last two years. He has competed for us in other competitions and has proven his skills, his mental game, and his leadership ability.
The second spot has been allocated to Coach Viki. Viki has continually shown progress over the last two years and has made huge strides in the sport of CrossFit. Viki brings a lot of experience, leadership, and tenacity to the team. As such regardless of how these athletes perform in the Open, their spots have been secured for Regionals.
The remaining six spots are up for grabs!! The selection process will include an approximate 80% weighting on the final standings of the Open. The last 20% has been allocated to give consideration to any unforseen events e.i sickness, injury, etc. In an event of an injury or illness, the athletes previous performance in CF competitions will be considered.
So 306. here is our time to shine. We are a CF Box...all we do is CF. I program specifically to prepare all of our athletes for the Open and Regionals. Let's show the World what we've got.
In health,
Coach
