This past weekend Laura Wehrkemp, Melanie Johnson, Courtney Bowman, Aaron Parker, Ty Prosofsky, and myself, represented Reebok CrossFit 306 at the Canadian Sweat Rx Championships. This was the second and final stage following the Sweat RX Prairie regionals which 306 had won in early June. Our team face tough competition from cities all over Canada including Halifax, Montreal, Ottawa, and Toronto. The day unfolded really well. Our team had the following results,
3rd on WOD 1 "Team DT"
7th on WOD 2 "Individual Men's Row"
4th on WOD 3 "Individual Women's Row"
1st on WOD 4 "Team heavy Squats and KBS"
2nd on WOD5 "Muscle Ups and Handstand"
4th on WOD 6 "Snatch Complex"
4th on WOD 7 "Team Chipper"
Our team finished in the top 4 in all but one WOD and we even won one. We battled hard all day and posted many PRs along the way. Melanie PR on her 500M Row, Ty hit a personal best OHS, Aaron PR'd on his snatch. All three men PR'd on their linked Muscle ups. As a coach having so many of our athletes come through with such breakthrough performances proves that we were incredibly well prepared and came to battle.
Once again the future looks bright!
