It's all over, my 7th regionals. All in all, it was another great experience. I finished 26th amongst some of the top CrossFit athletes in Western Canada and North West USA. That's 26th out of roughly 8000 men that started the Open process back in February. Had some big accomplishments including personal best times in Randy and Tommy V. Had the mental fortitude to add weight to my snatch after missing my opening lift. I was able to display some my best stuff in the HDPU and C2B WOD. Low points included pacing much too slow on the run and falling behind and losing my swing on the MU. However that's why it's a competition anything can happen and often will.
Regardless of my ups and downs this weekend, I will always remember this weekend as the weekend where I felt the most amount of LOVE. Never in my life have I felt so supported. Never have I ever felt so encouraged. I received texts, personal messages and words of encouragement from countless amounts of people. I can honestly say that it brought a tear to my eye. That support carried me through the tough times both in my training and in competition day. I love every one of you at 306 and beyond for the support.
To my wife and kids, I'll be taking a step down from the competitive side fo CrossFit for a while. I can't express how much your continuous support and belief in me has meant. Rebecca you put up with all my emotional non-sense that comes from my training cycles and my anxiety in competitions. Without you I would be a mess out there. I love you and couldn’t ask for anyone else by my side during these times.
Thank you 306 and I love you right back!
