The ability to scale everything we do in CrossFit is second only to the community that that crossFit creates. Being able to scale movements and loads is incredibly important to ensure that everyone can progress properly and can maintain their focus on mechanics. A strong focus on mechanics will keep everyone safe and progressing quickly. To this point it is important to understand that my programming often includes movements and weights that seem out of reach for most. That's OK! I program high and rarely do I expect people to do the workout as Rx. This system however allows for a greater community. By programming difficult movements and high weights we allow even our seasoned CrossFitters to keep pushing and learning, all the while scallling everyone to the appropriate level. This helps our community stay together with all levels of strength and conditionning training side by side, the way crossFit was design to be.
