The countdown is on...the first workout in the Open will be announced tonight! There will be 5 workouts over the next 5 weeks. Every Wednesday CrossFit HQ will release the WOD. Thursdays, it will be the scheduled WOD for every class. You can have it judged on Thursday as long as you let your coach know at the beginning of class that you want it to be judged. We will also be running the WOD on Saturday in heats. Please sign up at the front desk for a heat. You will need to arrive at the gym 1/2 an hour before your scheduled heat time so that you can warm up and go over all of the movements and standards. During your heat time, you will need to perform the WOD as well as judge the WOD for another athlete. You will be responsible for entering your score on-line. Make sure that you enter it on Saturday because Jason will need to validate each score before the cut-off time in order for it to count.
We all do the open and CrossFit for different reasons. For some, it is to compete and make this a sport, for others it is just a way of life to stay healthy and strong. We all are driven and motivated by different things. The Open gives us an opportunity to push together as a community but also as individuals to be the best that we can be.
