Coaching my #1 Team

As most of you know, I have decided to take a step back from full-time coaching at the gym.  It's crazy to look back and see how the past 3 years have flown by.  When we first started this journey, the plan was that Jason would coach full time and we would hire another coach and I would look after all the other stuff, marketing, etc.  until all the girls were in full time school.  It's funny how things don't always go as planned.  Within our first 9 months of being open, I started coaching full time and Jason and I found a really good groove for the business - I do mornings and he does evenings.  It has worked really well from a business standpoint, but made it challenging from a family standpoint.  So, when the opportunity came to have Matt join our team and take over my regular coaching duties for the next couple months, we took it.  I know that many of you are parents and know the challenge of balancing life, work and family.  Heck, even if you aren't parents, life is busy and we are all juggling.  I am excited to focus on other areas of the business, work out in some classes and be a part of crazy mornings with the kids.

I have enjoyed every minute of every class that I have coached.  I have had the pleasure of getting to know everyone, and I look forward to our morning chats.  No matter how tired I might be, as soon as I get to the gym, I am filled with energy from all your warm smiles, and posisitivity.  I have had the pleasure of seeing each of you grow as athletes and it is nothing short of amazing.  Your dedication is what gets me through my own workouts.

On that note, I will still be coaching some classes, filling in during different times and I get to WOD in a class again which makes me excited.  In January, I will back at it as Matt will be finishing up his last semester at school.  He will stay with us and continue coaching during that time as well.  I know that you are in good hands and Matt will take good care of you.  Thank you for all that you have given me over the past couple of years.  I am a better coach and person because of each of you.

See you soon,

Rebecca
