You know what is cool about this Christmas? There are no rules on how we have to do things. Okay, I guess there are - no more than 5 people, small bubble, masks inside, etc. but I mean for how you decide to celebrate (within those parameters). I mentioned that we didn't have our own tradition for a meal because we are usually at someone else's house. So, this year we got to brainstorm and decide what we want to have for our Christmas Eve dinner.
The truth is, I don't like turkey - it just somehow became the staple holiday meal. We decided that we are going to make poke bowls. We are going to get all the ingredients and make these yummy bowls. We all love seafood and the cool thing is that we can put whatever we want in them. Maybe this will be our new thing, or maybe our new tradition is coming up with something new every year. Who knows, but it's kind of fun to plan it out.
We will probably go sledding after supper as a family and then we will come home and open a few gifts while we sip our tea and watch something Christmassy. It's not fancy, but I am very much looking forward to it. Are you going to change up your traditions or try something new? Whatever you decide to do, have fun with it.
