The Snatch Pt 2

In our last blog I shared a video from CrossFit Invictus’ Jared Enderton on the “uppercutting the bar” as we perform a snatch. It was a good, simple video with great instruction and break down of exactly what he means and why to do it.  If you haven’t already, go back to the last blog and give the attached video a watch.

I want to take the snatch one step further. In today’s blog, I want to address some drills that will most certainly make us more comfortable in each of the positions we need to find, and then work on, as we search for that perfect Olympic lift.

The following video article was taken from “The Wod Life”. In the amassed videos they address different faults people may have with their snatch technique and talk about how to fix them.  They are great example of the different areas people may have faults in. Whether it be the pull from the floor, keeping the bar close during acceleration or being comfortable in the bottom “receiving” position.

Take a few minutes and check out the link. It’s more good and simple instruction on working closer to that perfect snatch. We’ll be back at it next week so the more information you can get, the better lifting day is going to be!  Enjoy.
