So when it was all over the BCBD did exactly what it was suppose to do. It provided many of our athletes a chance to test their fitness in competition, bond as a community, make friends, have fun, and witness some pretty cool athletic feats.

As always I am delighted to be a coach at 306. Our athletes demonstrated true grit on the floor, were incredibly respectful of their peers, judges, and volunteers, and supported one another at all times. I love how many personal records were broken on game day, a true testament to the strength of character of our athletes, willing to rise to the challenge and how prepared they were to deliver on game day. Here is a quick look at who we had competing and some of their final standings:
306 had the third biggest roster of athletes in attendance across all divisions.
In the Brute Female, we had, the Lil' Beast ( Erin Kemp, and Stephanie Hughes), twisted Sistas (Jac and Holly), and two teams that just missed the cutoff for the semi finals finishing 9th and 10th respectively with K squared ( Kristen Marie, and Kelsey Sawatzky), and Nuff Chalk? (Maddy Webb, and Destini Jackson). Chris Gordon also competed with an athlete from Croey's House of Pain and posted a huge personal best on her thruster.
On men's Brute side we had Moson Fire (Chris Chris Robinson, and Cory Alexson), Becca 6 AM (Conrad Conrad Herman, and Clay Newby), just missing out on the quarters finishing 17th was Two Poods (Joey and Trevor). Snatch Thrusters (Mike Rogers, and Matthew Shenher) placed 11th one spot behind A Touch of Grey (Bruce Gordon and Clint Seiko). We picked up a Silver Medal in this division with the WOD Busters (Adam Holtzman, and Jason Joyal).
On the Women's Rx side Laurie Thomson battled hard all weekend and finished an impressive 23rd against many of the top females in the Prairies.
On the men's Rx side Rob Webb and Dave Mapletoft aka Mini, continued to show great development. Coach took home Gold in this division.
