Well 306, we have completed four Open WODS and we have one left to go. It's a long 5 weeks, filled with excitement, anticipation and anxiety. We push ourselves to put our best performance forward. We don't realize the toll that it can take on us, not only physically but mentally and emotionally. It is a big accomplishment whether you are trying to make Regionals or you are new to the sport. It's been awesome to witness so many PR's! First C2B pull-ups, first OHS or a PR on volume of movements. Sometimes, we get caught up in 'leaderboarding' and compare ourselves to the top athletes and then think that our PRs aren't as good . It's great to compare ourselves and watch to see what the elite can do, but more importantly we should focus on how much we have improved as athletes.
Goal setting is important but it is equally important to take the time to celebrate our accomplishments. So, this Saturday - LET'S CELEBRATE!! We will be heading out to Earl's at 5:00 for dinner and drinks. They don't take group reservations so we are heading in early so we can get tables. Then we have a guest list set up Hudson's so no one has to wait in line. We will head over there at about 8:00pm. If you can come out for the whole night or just a portion, we would love to see you. Even if you weren't in the open, we are still one affiliate, one team and we have one program - we are all Team 306!!
We would also like to get a group picture, Saturday morning at 11:00 am. If you are available, please stick around so we can get a picture. Now let's go crush 14.5!
