Happy 14th Birthday 306!

Happy 14th Birthday 306!!

It’s hard to believe that it has been 14 years since we opened the gym.  When I look back at the picture of our family in 2011, it sure does highlight how much time has actually passed.  We were a young family, and we wanted something different for our lives.  We wanted to share our passion for health, wellness and community.   We wanted to be close to family as we raised our children, and we didn’t want to have the headaches of “big city” life.  So, we bet on ourselves, moved to Saskatoon, and spent our life savings to open our little gym, CrossFit 306.

Honestly, we had no idea if it would work, if we could do this and make our vision come to life.  What we did know is that we had to try.  Those four walls became our home away from home.  It became the place where our kids grew up and played.  It is where we made so many memories and have met the best people.

We’ve grown a lot over the years as has our little gym.  We have trained thousands of people over the past 14 years.  Some have stayed for just a class or 2, some a couple years and some are still with us today.  We have seen friendships and relationships blossom, babies be born, and sadly we’ve had to say goodbye to a few along the way as well.   We have laughed a lot, cried a little, watched lives change, witnessed people grow up and it is the greatest privilege to be able to share in your lives and be a part of your story.

People come to get a good workout, but I believe that they stay for the community.  The collective of incredible individuals that walk through the doors, each and every day.   That’s what life is all about at the end of the day, connection.

So, THANK YOU to each and every person who has walked through our doors and became a part of our story.   It has been one heck of a ride so far and we wouldn’t change a thing.  Thank you for trusting us with your health and wellness.  Thank you for your friendship, the laughs, the workouts and all the memories that we have made so far.  Here’s to the next 14 years (well maybe not 14 as I hope that I am on a beach somewhere by then, but you know what I mean, lol).

Much Love,

Rebecca & Jason
