3 on 3 Predictions!

With one week before the fourth annual 3 on 3 Throw down it is time to ponder what may happen next Saturday.    With three division, four preliminary WODs, a do or die semi-finals and an elimination quarter finals. Anything may and probably will happen.  So let’s take a look at each division and try and speculate on the final standings.

Scaled –

This division includes a wide range of demographics including team Gordon boasting Chris and Bruce in their 50’s and a group of teenagers lead by 14 year old Tori MacDonald and anchored by Jack Nash and Craig Kosmoka.  Will youth prevail over experience?  Team Podium or Bust lead by rec star athlete Josh Herman, and teammates Brandy Sokoloski, and Julius Villeneuva are looking poised and confident.  However late replacement to team Rowing Pains include Super Alpha Male Stu Cousins might be what that team needed to put in them in striking distance of the podium.

Key details

With only 12 days before we throw down, here are some important details.

Times:

Scaled division you must register at 7AM.  You will be briefed at 7:30AM, all heats go at 8:00AM

Intermediate division you must register at 7:30AM.  You will be briefed at 8:000AM, all heats go at 8:30AM.

Rx division you must register at 8AM.  You will be briefed at 8:30AM, all heats go at 9:00AM.

WODs:

As per our custom, WODs will be released an hour before you perform them.  Here is the breakdown of the day...

We are very excited to welcome Blake Stella Wesolowski.  She was born at 4:18pm on September 15th at 7.5 pounds.   L.T. came into the gym everyday up to and over her due date.

Need a kickstart to get into a training routine, but a little intimidated with CrossFit? We are running a 6 week session of a women's only boot camp. It is a fun and positive environment to learn. Early confirmation sees all three division winners coming back to defend their titles. Lastv year's scaled winners from Sask Pro lead by Scott Gardiner and daughter Brieann Gardiner will be back...

Every year the winner of the Three on Three Rx division is made up of Regional athletes. In our first year VO2Max anchored by Janine Walinski-Shillington took the podium. In our second year Blonyx sponsored athletes Taryn Dubreuil, Curt Manning, and Lance Wilson took top spots. Last year Pure Athletics team of Whitney Darchuk-Parenteau, Josh Kapacila, and James Iced Kapacila walked away with the gold plaques. Will your team be be fit and strong enough to take the podium?

Here we go again, the Reebok CrossFit 306 3 on 3 Throwdown is back for it's fourth instalment on Oct 1st. Registration will open at 5pm on August 9th. Mark this date, registration sold out last year in 2 hours!

Congratulations to Reebok CrossFit 306 athlete Tori MacDonald. Tori won best female youth lifter this past week in the province wide online competition held by the SWA. Great work Tori!

This weekend Reebok CrossFit 306 hosted two fun filled events.  On Friday we hosted a friendly throw down against Taiso men's gymnastic club.

Hey Ballers everywhere,

It's time to show off your skills on the court.  Our second annual BBALL tourney will run all day on June 25th.  This is the funnest event of the Summer, and like all our community events it is entirely free.  Prizes include 365 days of bragging rights.  Pick your teammate and come play, all skill levels welcome.

It is with great excitement that Reebok Crossfit 306 would like to officially welcome Kelsey Rhode and Caitlyn Charteris to our coaching team.  Kelsey and Caitlyn’s passion for CrossFit and desire to improve has been made evident since they first joined 306 in the past year.  Rebecca and I look forward to further developing them, so they continue to provide the high standard of coaching that 306 is known and respected for.
